The Randolph County EXCEL program is designed to train and motivate individuals in
Randolph County, Missouri, in the
development of leadership skills and to encourage them to take an active part
in their community, whether serving on a local committee, becoming active in
city or state government or beyond.
EXCEL provides opportunities
- To develop as a leader with an understanding of cultural values and
their impact upon people of Randolph County
- To cultivate leadership skills in such areas as public speaking,
chairing a group, and preparing and presenting reports, etc.
- To enhance skills in facilitating group decisions by formation of
effective questions, sharing information, proposing tasks, etc.
- To analyze and describe current economic, political and social
situations in the Randolph County area.
- To identify and understand various internal and external forces that
affect community conditions in Randolph County.
- To develop a network of people with common interests within the
community.
- To join the pool of well-informed people capable of assuming further
leadership responsibilities in the Randolph County area.

EXCEL
is open to any resident of Randolph County, employee of a Randolph County
business, or anyone attending college in Randolph County. The total
number of participants is limited to assure a quality learning and networking
experience.
If you are interested in becoming an effective leader, or
would like to obtain a better understanding of your city, county and
state governments, Randolph County EXCEL wants you! Check back with
us next year.
The Randolph County EXCEL tuition fee is $325. This fee covers the overnight trips, meals, class materials, and
a Jefferson City Capital
tour. Participants are responsible for any out-of-pocket expenditures not
directly related to EXCEL.
Tuition fees represent only a portion of the
total cost of this program. Local firms, past participants, and other
individuals donate toward the rest of the operational costs. Businesses are
also urged to sponsor a participant. Ask your employer to contact any of
